Artists' Guild of the Last Homely House
Greetings, Artists of Middle Earth!
Here you may gather to share your works, inspired by the great world around you and our journey through The Hobbit. Please follow the regular rules and regulations for posting graphics, if that is your artwork of choice. Artwork beside avatars, signatures and wallpapers is encouraged and welcomed, also. Consider this your "Fan Art" section for Hobbiton things.
As a refresher:
Avatars:
You may post up to 20 avatars per post. When posting, please be considerate of others and do not post more than six avatars per row (any more will stretch the screen out).
Signatures:
You may post up to ten signatures per post. As stated above, be considerate of other posters and try not to post more than two signatures per row.
Wallpapers:
All wallpapers must be thumbnailed and you may post up to five thumbnailed wallpapers per post. Any post not conforming to this will be edited and possibly removed.
• Please do not quote previous posts containing pictures or animations. Instead, please link to the post that contains them (use the button at the top of each post to right-click, select "copy shortcut," and then paste into your post).
• Please minimize comments like "good job" unless you have additional graphics of your own to post.
• When posting your graphics, please specify whether others can use them or not and any other conditions on their use (such as no hotlinking, no alterations without permission, etc.). This will help reduce posts which are only requests for permission to use already-posted graphics.
• Please note that the moderators reserve the right to edit or remove posts which do not conform to these guidelines. All images must be family-friendly.
Happy Posting!

Greetings to all and one! Or, is that one and all?
Valia and I were chatting about how neither of us has made graphics in a while, so we decided to make some Hobbit avatars together. We chose the poster of Bilbo, and here are a few variations that I came up with.
Credit would be appreciated, but it isn't required.

And in the time Djaq made three avatars, I made one.
Pretty plain, but there you are. Credit is great, but not a requirement. If you don't credit, though, I'd really appreciate a note letting me know you're using it.

The first two are from the old scroll that was released before the change to three films. The latter two are from the first trailer.
Anyone can use. Credit not required but appreciated.

I have been so so busy, but part of that has been me getting a few drawings done for The Hobbit Art Design Contest!
So far I have drawn three different drawings and hope to get the last one done before the deadline tomorrow. Anyway, they were fun to draw, hope you guys like them ok.
Creature - Azog:

Character - Beorn: I'm not entirely happy with how it turned out.

7chronicles, your drawings are stunning! I especially love your Beorn one—that sparked Beorn to life in my mind in a way that hasn't happened before. (I never could picture him in the book, but your drawing helped give my imagination something to go on. ) Seriously, keep drawing—you have so much talent! Love it, good work!

Re: Artists' Guild of the Last Homely House
@MountainFireflower: Thank you so much! Thats funny because before I drew Beorn I never had a solid picture of him in my head either, I thought it was just me.
I had to draw him out a few times before I was happy with him.
I'm so happy you like it! Thanks!
I was able to finish my final drawing for The Hobbit contest!

Re: Artists' Guild of the Last Homely House
Nice work, Dot! I think I like the first avy best.
Ooh, how fun, Mel. To me, the pony looks very delighted to have escaped from Bilbo and Bilbo looks properly dismayed and worried.
Good job on the avvies, narnialuver. My favourites are 3, 4, and 9.
Excellent work, 7chronicles! Oddly enough, I think Azog is my favourite---it's just so incredibly detailed. It actually makes me think of finely-done concept sketches; it looks like it could be used in the films. At any rate, keep up the good work.

I did this painting last summer and now I finally have a place to post it!
This is the picture I was working from.
And here is the painting. My teacher only helped me a little with shading on skin and hair.

Nice picture, Mel! Bilbo does look very contemplative.
Wow, that's a lovely painting, The Lady Arwen Undómiel! You did a great job with it.
