Downplayed, cut or extended roles in the movies

I have seen only the first two movies but a lot of roles were cut or extended.

PC was the biggest offender. The funny thing is, they tried to get G&S in so many scenes in PC, but they never had their discussion about killing the king. Why?

Movie 3, I know, cut Ramandu (but I was far more disapointed to hear it cut his birds! ) Movie 2, on the other hand, practically took the characters of Glozelle, Sopespian, Pruniprismia (she doesn't even APPEAR in the book), and, although he was a fairly important part early and late in the book, Miraz, up to eleven.

It took me a minute or so to realise which "G&S" you were referring to. I was scratching my head trying to think where Gilbert & Sullivan came into it. Maybe there was a cut scene where Miraz entered singing, "I am the very model of a modern king of Narnia..."
