2. WHY do dogs bark when they hear other dogs barking? Dogs bark when they hear other dogs bark as their way of communicating with their own kind. Wolves, who similarly socialise in packs, howl for much the same reasons as dogs bark. But dogs, having learned to live with men, are often isolated from each other, and communal barking is a good way for them to feel connected with their world.

1. WHERE does the salt in the ocean come from? It comes from water eroding rocks along rivers, dissolving the minerals and bringing it to the ocean, where it ends up as sea salt.

Because the laws of succession are sexist - a woman can become queen by marrying a king, but a man cannot become king by marrying a queen.

There are a few differences but an obvious one is that the llama is larger and heavier than the alpaca.

2.WHY are sports events considered more important than anything else on television? Because they're easy to market and they know lots of people will watch them, and because they happen rarely enough that they're still "special" events.
