Some days you battle yourself and other monsters.

Queensland, a very hot area of eastern Australia.
“Not all of us can choose what we give up. The things we love are taken or are never ours at all. If we’re lucky, life is defined not by what we let go, but what we let in: friendship and kind words, frailty and hope.”

Rabaul, Papua Niugini. This township on the island of New Britain, sits within the caldera of a volcano of the same name.

Tambora, an Indonesian volcano which exploded with such force in 1815 that the following year in Northern America was the Year Without Summer, that there was widespread famine conditions around the world, in UK and elsewhere, and where in places as far south as Van Dieman's Land both settlers and natives suffered privation due to the weather conditions.

Upper Hutt, a city in New Zealand, where resides the only professional clown I know personally.

Vesuvius (while on the topic of volcanoes)
But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.

Warrumbungles, New South Wales. A mountainous area formed by extinct volcanoes from a long long, time ago in a land far far away, where today Stargazer would find a very important observatory called Siding Springs, and maybe the mythical outback of nowhere Woop Woop pub. :D

Ambleside, a town in the Lake District of England. It's beside Lake Windermere, and I began my first annual reading of Lord of the Rings there.

Dunkirk, France, where an ultimate victory for UK in WW2 was salvaged from a nasty defeat and a miraculous and well organised evacuation of troops.
