The Stag Hunt from edmunds point of view. Poetry by Kat

Postby Katana » Nov 03, 2011 6:53 pm

Okay the subject title for this poem is pretty self explanatory, I did a different one about the coronation ball from Lucy's point of view so I decided to try Edmunds this time. I hope you like it :)
(oh and if you dont remember, Phillip is Edmunds horse)

Phillip is riding hard and fast,

Trying to keep up and not be last,

He’s not the horse he used to be,

But he still goes on the stag hunt with me.

I look up to see peter take a sharp turn,

The white stag had turned east, I soon learned.

We ride quite hard, having a good time,

Lucy and Susan are laughing a lot,

and the Stag keeps running, anxious not to be caught.

Laughter seems to fill our days,

As all four of us seek happiness in our own way.

Life is very perfect here,

Even with our troubles we are never bitter and never shed a tear.

Narnia is a glorious land for sure,

For my war-time sorrows, it was the cure.

P.S. I need a new siggy so if anyone would be willing to try and make me one that would be great :D

This is wonderful, Katana! :ymapplause: It rhymes and flows so well and the simplicity of it really makes the poem all the more joyful! I especially enjoyed the little bit through the end, from 'Life is very perfect here...', where the tone breaks a little from the scene and focuses just on how content Phillip feels here in Narnia. Lovely work on this and I'd love to read some more of your poems. You're very good! :)

Oh, and do you have any idea of what you might want as a picture for a siggy? I might try and make you one, if I have some time. :)
