Aslan's Roar
Hey everyone,
For those of you interested, I did a digital painting of Aslan's awesome roar from The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. I used the original pose as a reference, but changed the colouring around a little bit: mainly in the sky.
Have a look, if you want:

I love it! That's a gorgeous painting and the colours and details are absolutely stunning! I especially love the mane and the features of his mouth! The inside of it and the pinkish colours for his tongue are really neat! The whole picture is just so realistic and just the overall softness of it is spectacular!
Great job!!!

Thanks you guys! I really enjoyed working on this (more and more as it closer to being finished), so I might do this again sometime. Not sure if it'll be Narnia related, but I'll definitely update it here if that's the case

This is lovely, 8SilverSky, and I'm amazed at your talent! I am in love with his mane (it looks so real!) and the contrast between the gorgeous blue sky with his golden coat is very striking! I find the amount of detail and depth in this piece of art to be simply stunning, and I love how you provided a step-by-step look at how you made it. Very well done!
I look forward to seeing more of your work in the future. Keep it up!

Thanks everyone. It's really encouraging reading all your lovely comments!
Lilygloves, I'm not sure when I'll do my next "big" digital painting, as the end of my summer is getting busier by the day. When school starts, I'll be posting a lot of finished assignments as well. I may post a bunch of small practice paintings as well, which may or may not be Narnia related. I'll definitely post it, if that's the case though. Looking forward to it!
wolfloversk, I used Adobe Photoshop CS5 throughout the entire process. It was part of my tuition fees (which I didn't even know, so I was super happy when I heard!).

Wow 8SilverSky! That is Amazing!!!
Its so realistic! I can't believe the detail, I Love Aslan's mane, I feel like I can touch it!
And the sky is beautiful!
Thanks for sharing how you completed the painting, I was always curious how a digital painting was started!
Awesome Work, can't wait to see more of your work!
