After much deliberation, my two compatriots, Wunderkind_Lucy and ForeverFan, and myself have come to our decision. Now, before we announce who won, we would like to say, first, that you all do very good work, and we are proud to be able to call you our friends. There were very many wonderful pieces (and quotes!), which made our job quite difficult, but that's okay.

Well I think you did very well LucyP0104 . The dragon in the background is very effective and the text is great.

Maddy and Aravis Autarkeia I really love your sigs as well. They both look very professional.

Congrats also to every one else who entered, they all looked great. I enjoyed making my sig (even though it didn't do that well) and I'll have to practice some more for the next competition.

BTW where do you guys get all your fantastic background textures, I had a hard time finding one. Maddy yours in particular is gorgeous.

There were so many fantastic entries, I just want to comment on a couple of my favorites.
Ben, I love that quote! The dufflepuds are hilarious. Too bad that it became pixelly.
Aravis Auterkeia, I had a jaw drop moment at yours. It's so clear and crisp, yet soft without being blurred.
Alyosha, I love that quote and the way you arranged the text and blended the background with the picture is awesome! (Btw, is that an actual picture of Will Poulter? It looks like him, but I don't recall seeing that picture before)
winterlife, I love it! It's so simple but fits so well!
HM, I love yours!! It has an otherworldly feel with the sparkles and blue, which remind me of RD (being the star's daughter and wearing light blue), and the text layout is fantastic!!
LP0104, I love the rounded edges and the way a few words have shadows to emphasize them. The layout and background textures are excellent; again congrats on first place!

HM, to answer your question, I get a lot of the textures that I use from livejournal or deviantart. I can't link to some that I've got textures from right now, but I'll try to edit it in or PM them to you later. I'd link you to my resources page, but I badly need to update it... My background was actually a combination of textures. I was adding and cropping and erasing and twiddling with layer mode settings and then it turned out, and I thought it was awesome, so I saved it as a blank signature base, and have been using the Colorize tool to mess with it ever since.
