Prince Caspian playing cards - Kings

Well, I decided to design my very own Prince Caspian playing cards! The design line will feature four Kings, four Queens, four Jacks, four Aces and one or more versions of the reverse side.

Here are the four Kings, I hope you will like them!

Beautifully done! I love how you used different Kings of Narnia for the actual Kings. So I'm curious: who are the jacks and aces going to be? Anyways, I love the way you blended the photos together and made them double-oriented like playing cards. They look very authentic!

Fire Fairy, thank you! Oh, yes, I got lucky - there are exactly four Kings in the Prince Caspian story! Well, with Queens I didn't have such luck and you'll see the result soon, I should finish them this weekend, and as per the Jacks, I had quite some dilemma, scratching my head a lot, wondering who to put and who to leave out...

Hmm... very interesting Beginte. I actually had an idea awhile back to design a whole deck of cards based on Narnia characters, but I never found the time to complete the production. "Great minds do think alike", don't they .

Design on the actual cards look great. I like the idea of having two variations of the characters used in the two connecting images (the "mirror" effect works well as a layout). I don't know the quality of the images at your disposal, but it might be interesting to see different images on the Caspian and Miraz cards (besides two images using their armor, at least one works great though). Perhaps images from Caspian or Miraz's coronations, but I'm not going to take over your designs, I'll let you be the judge (it's subjective).

The blending of imagery is superb. The "cloudlike" effect between the two images on each card works well. The idea of including the BG images next to the character images also adds a nice touch. I might consider changing the horse image on Miraz's card, so as to keep with the continuity of the "landscape" images on the other cards (unless some of the Ace's, Queen's, etc. cards follow suit with Miraz's card). Coloration works well throughout. All the Kings loook great and I look forward to seeing future variations of the playing cards. Nice work on this set .

Thank you! I've saved them to my computer. What kind of paper do you print them out on? I worry about being able to see through the cards from the back. I'll get started on my designs soon. I've been mostly working on making wallpaper for my computer but since I'm getting a new laptop and don't know what size the screen will be it doesn't make sense to continue doing that.

Those are soo cool, i wish they were actual cards cause i'd definetly buy them!! REally love the one with Peter, he looks so happy in that bottom picture! Lovely job

I've saved them all to my computer.
I'll print them, too - it's such a strain to watch my laptop upside down to see the lower pictures properly

My favorite picture is the 'happy' Peter one - it's one of the best pictures of him I've ever seen. Is it from the coronation parade?

I'll watch out for the set of Queens!

B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L!!!!!!! I love how you did the reverse designs with different pictures. Great brushes and I love the concept design behind Miraz! I wish I could print these out and use them, but I wouldn't have the paper or the printer. I am definetly looking forward to the rest of the designs!!! Great work!!!
