Okay, I just barely heard of another strange name, so I had to post it. My cousin said that a girl in her seminary class in ninth grade said she wanted to name one of her kids "Jehosaphat" just so she could call him "Phatty"!! Isn't that just sad???

I would have to say for a boy... It would be Bartholomew... Yes perhaps I am being vain of my username... But I really like the name Bartholomew Rothentrop and I wouldn't care if that was my name to be honest.

My Favorite girl name would have to be Marry... Except spelled like "Merry Christmas" instead of Marry. (Yes, I do have a good friend and that is how her name is spelled).

Girl or boy, I will name one of my children "Ryan."

My sisters universally agreed however, that whoever has a boy first will name him Jonathan Samuel, after the two miscarried babies my mother had before she had my youngest sister. She thought that my youngest sister was going to be a boy and she named her Jonathan Samuel, but when she came out a girl, we switched the names to the two babies that were miscarried, naming one of them Jonathan and the other one Samuel.

I had actually planned on naming my first son Jonathan Samuel, but then my sisters chimed in saying that that was what they were going to name their first sons. So we compromised. Whoever has a boy first gets to name him Jonathan Samuel.
