EASTER - A Twitter Reenactment

Postby Kayla_elfmaiden » Mar 17, 2010 11:09 am

How did Peter feel after he betrayed Jesus that fateful night? What went through Pilate’s mind as he washed his hands, declaring himself innocent? How did John react when he took charge of Mary, the mother of Jesus, as Christ hung on the cross?

What if they could tweet?

This Easter, join a group of storytellers from www.ChristianFilmmakers.org as they explore these questions and others in Easter: A Twitter Reenactment. Follow a group of actors as they recreate the Easter story in real-time, delving into the emotions of the weekend. Put yourself in the place of a disciple as you trace Jesus’s footsteps from the Last Supper to the cross. Stand by the Pharisees as they hire soldiers to guard the tomb. Run with the women as they go to visit the grave – and find it empty.

To witness the entire reenactment, follow the official EaTR 2010 list on Twitter. Beginning at approximately 3:00 CT on Thursday, April 1st, the reenactment will run through Sunday, April 4th 2010. A parallel timeline of Scripture will be broadcasted by the Narrator during the event.

You can go to the website here: http://easter.christianfilmmakers.org to get more information and find the twitter list to follow.

Hope to see you there!

This sounds very interesting, but we actually have a policy on NarniaWeb that topics cannot be started for the sole purpose of advertising external sites (see #8 of the forum rules). You may, however, place the link in your signature, which would probably receive more attention, anyway, as it's there every time you post on any part of the forum. :)

Also, for further Easter and Passion Week discussion, please see the Spare Oom's Chrisitianity topic.

Thanks.
